Justice & Missions

Fighting injustice, transforming society, caring for those in need & impacting the world

We serve the God of justice and we have a mandate to be God’s agents of change in the world. We are passionate about showing God's love to people in need in our city, addressing poverty and tackling injustice. We are committed to working to transform society, minister freedom to the oppressed and show radical hospitality to all. We work locally, nationally and internationally through City Church ministries and partners.

Our hope is that all members of City Church would be involved in, or support, at least one justice or compassion-based ministry. Our local, national and international partners include:

Foodbank

Our food bank runs every Thursday morning, distributing emergency food to those in need in Cardiff. To find out more about volunteering with our foodbank click here.

Safe Families

We partner with Safe Families for Children to offer support, hope and belonging to families across the city. To find our more about volunteering for Safe Families click here.

Welcome Churches

We are part of the Welcome Network of churches; we welcome newly-arrived refugees and asylum seekers to Cardiff by offering love and friendship, starting with a box of gifts to say hello. To find out more about volunteering with our Welcome Churches project here.

Message Wales

Our partner Message Wales shares the love of Jesus Christ with the hardest-to-reach young people in words and deeds. To find out more about their work click here.

Elim Missions

We support Elim missionary Hani Shadad who trains leaders in Uganda, Ethiopia and Sudan; he also ministers to refugees in East Africa.

Gateway Ministries, India

Pastor Prasad and Sunnee lead Gateway Ministries, a network of over 100 churches in Rajahmundry, as well as Gateway School which offers education for children from villages in the surrounding area.

Hand of Love, Israel

We work with Maoz UK to partner with a local ministry who reach out to the most vulnerable individuals and families in the region.
